CMMI® Introductory official course ( description)

The course lasts three days and introduces managers, practitioners, team evaluation members and process engineering groups, systems engineering and software engineering to the fundamental CMMI® concepts. CMMI® models are tools that help organizations to improve their development capacity, maintain products, and quality service. CMMI® models are the integration of the best practices of proven processes of improved models, targeted to certain disciplines, including Software CMM®, EIA 731, y el Integrated Product Development CMM®.
This course has been updated to become a part of 1.2 version of the CMMI® product suite. The course was also improved to fulfill the demands of change sent by students, instructors and other interested people. It is made up by presentations and class exercises that provide an ample opportunity for the participants to make questions and participate in discussions.
One of the requirements in order to participate in an SCAMPI team is to have previously taken this course.

To whom it is directeed:
This course is directed to Engineering managers, engineering systems project directors, improvement processes experts, group members of SEPG and SQA, organization members that develop, maintain or acquire systems based in software and in general to those who are interested in understanding the new CMMI® model.
Particularly directed to organization professionals that use SW-CMM and are interested in getting to know the distinctions and the new focus of CMMI® compared to SW-CMM.

Objectived:
When concluding this course, the attendants will be able to describe the composition of CMMI® models, their relationship among them, discuss the process in CMMI® models and to locate relevant information within the model.
